LIVERPOOL alternative indie-rockers Sound of Guns headline a bumper gig for this year's Volume Festival at The Box.
Discovered by BBC Introducing and championed by Radio 1 heavyweights Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens to name a few, the bandcame together to forge a sound akin to their collective influences – The Verve, Foo Fighters, Arcade Fire, Led Zeppelin, The Doors and The Rolling Stones.
This diversity helps them cast of the usual sound associated with their hometown.
The band are a finely tuned musical juggernaut, having performed over 100 shows in 2012 alone and are mercilessly shifting through the gears and clocking up sufficient mileage with their relentless workaholic ethics, as they look to emerge out of the shadows and into the unforgiving threshold of popular culture.
Debut album ‘What Came From Fire’ was nominated for a 2011 XFM New Music Award and previous singles have been dubbed Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record In The World.
The band have toured with Miles Kane, Everything Everything, The View and most recently Stereophonics.
